Billy Talent - 10th Anniversary Tour

Billy Talent absolutely killed it at Sound Academy in Toronto on the opening night of their 10th anniversary tour. As Ben Kowalewicz told the crowd, “We’re like fine wine. We just keep getting better with age!” Damn right.

Hearing Billy Talent I played front-to-back for the first time was an epic reminder of the mark BT have carved into punk music. The dark harmonies and haunting guitar melodies on tracks like “Try Honesty,” “River Below,” and “Nothing To Lose” give their songs an unmistakable edge that sounded even better live.

Getting two encores packed with fan favorites was a bonus. My fav moment? Seeing a group of Billy Talent fans unravel the Canadian flag in the middle of the crowd during “Red Flag.”

"I know it’s Thanksgiving," Ben told us, "so I just wanted to say we’re thankful for all of you for coming out tonight and sticking by us." Right back at you guys for giving us the best soundtrack to grow up to.

You gotta get in on this. Go see Billy Talent live!
