My history teacher was being really cool today. I wrote him a mail about the Pussy Riot trial two or three days ago, and I sent him the link to their newest single and the link to the Anti-Flag ‘Free Pussy Riot’ benefit t-shirts as well as some newer articles about the trial.

He was so impressed by my statement and my research that he borrowed me the latest issue of Newsweek with a really interesting article about Putin and the Orthodox church in Russia (He even put a note with my name on it AND he wrote my real name on it which means a lot to me because he has given me a nickname when I was new at the school and I think that now he has more respect for me since he calls me by my real name, I hope he doesn’t change this again…but yeah, doesn’t matter..) I am allowed to keep the magazine until next week and he told me to “keep up the good work” because he thinks it is great that “young girls fight for democratic rights” and that he didn’t expect me to be that interested in anything.
